What is the best way (either website or software) for my Mom to type up and share her recipes with others?

Keep in mind she is a beginner computer user. She could use specialty recipe databases, but then anyone she shares the recipes with would need that same software or a reader of some kind.

If she uses an online system, she would want to be able to export it locally to have her own copies.

And she wants to be able to scan in some handwritten recipes if possible.

I know, this is asking a lot, but I have this great opportunity to get her to document her great recipes- and learn a lot about computers in the process! What is the best way (either website or software) for my Mom to type up and share her recipes with others?
www.freewebs.com

if she scans recipes and they come out clear enough she can even upload the images. What is the best way (either website or software) for my Mom to type up and share her recipes with others?
Cooks.com is good, not sure if she can set up her own page or not but that's were I go to get most of mine when I'm looking for something special. I also think kraft, pillsbury, the food network, or maybe even betty crocker have websites you can submit to.
allrecipes.com, *no www*, it is awesome, I use it on a daily basis.
Allrecipes.com is a great website to find and share recipes. I go to it almost everyday, just to browse at what's new. All of the recipes are ones that people have uploaded and posted themselves. You can type in the searchbox what you're looking for and find hundreds of recipes! The thing I like about it is that at the bottom of every recipe there are comments from people about that recipe (how it turned out, suggestions, etc.) If you are a member you can upload recipes and leave comments. Another thing that is nice is you can upload pictures of your recipes and you can even upload pictures of a recipe that isn't ';yours';, but one that you have tried that's on the website. This gives people many pictures to look at to see what the results typlically look like. I personally love the website becuase it is real people posting, trying, commenting, and voting about the recipes. (You don't have to be a member to browse the recipes and look at comments and pictures, but you do have to be a member to post a recipe, post pictures of a recipe- whether it's of your recipe or someone else's-, and to post comments.) I hope this helps! Have fun!
